Biography
Lakchai took up the game of golf in Thailand but became serious at it when he moves to Pinehurst, North Carolina where he graduated with a Masters of Business Administration degree from Campbell University. He developed his game and later started to take lessons with Dr. Jim Suttie, who is ranked America’s 11th best golf instructor by the Golf Digest magazine.
Lakchai came back to Thailand in 1994 and took lesson with Steve Wakulsky at DLGA Tnana City Golf and Country Club. Steve Wakulsky is currently DLGA’s World Wide Director of Training.
During that time at DLGA Thana City, Lakchai has taken more than 200 lessons with Steve Wakulsky Lakchai spent many hours assisted and observed Steve Wakulsky gave lessons to all levels of golfers from beginner to tour player. Lakchai has noticed how golfers can improved their technique by simply understand “The cause and effect” of the golf swing, which is the heart of “Leadbetter System”. Lakchai became a believer in the “Leadbetter System” teaching methods, which is known to be one of most successful teaching techniques in the world and spent more and more times with Steve Wakulsky.
Lakchai took his first opportunity to apply for a trainee position when there was an opening at DLGA Malaysia. He was the only Asian selected by DLGA. With his great background of “Leadbetter System”, Lakchai successfully passed the DLGA certification program in December 2002.
In April’ 09, Lakchai completed a TPI Level One course in Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia and has passed his HSPSE Level 1 Accredited Instructors course at the Royal Hills Golf Club (Thailand) on september 20th & 21st, 2010.
Lakchai attended the Level 2 Accredited Instructors course at Thana City Golf Resort on november 17/18 in 2011. Lead instructors on this course where HSPSE Director of Instruction and European Tour Coach Phil Kenyon and Level 2 Instructor Shay Smart (PGA).
