Swash Putting Schools

phil_h_closeup_smallHSPSE has been established for over 30 years in the UK to promote putting teaching and training on the highest elite level and is recognised by many PGA bodies worldwide. Based on 50 years of Harold Swash's teaching, experience and engineering background in putting and putting theory and fundamentals.

The HSPSE operation is managed by Phil Kenyon, Director of Instruction. Phil is a PGA professional and former touring professional that has been working with Harold for almost 20 years. Phil's coaching experience is supported by a Masters Degree in Sport Science. A disciple which form an integral part of the schools approach.

As part of the mission statement of HSPSE, teaching putting to golfers of all levels is a service they provide on a regular basis in their home location of Southport, UK. Several of the current high profile personal students under Phil Kenyon are current PGA Tour professionals Henrik Stenson, Darren Clarke, Thomas Bjorn, David Horsey, Edoardo Molinari, Ross Fisher, Chris Wood, Michael Hoey and Oliver Fisher amongst many others.

Harold's students over the years also represent some of the greatest names in golf like Padraig Harrington, Nick Faldo and Colin Montgomerie. The same principles and care that is given to the pros is mirrored in the teaching and training of amateurs alike.

In addition to lessons for amateur golfers, HSPSE also offers an Accredited Instructors programme which teaches PGA's globally how to teach putting and do putter fitting. Already established in Europe for many years, they have been expanding rapidly in Asia where they have already trained a number of Pros from China, India, Thailand, Australia, Vietnam, Indonesia, and Hong Kong. A HSPSE base has been established in China where pros from Japan, Korea, Taiwan and other territories are scheduled to attend fall programs there in 2011 to further expand the presence in Asia.

The HSPSE Accredited Instructor program based on Harold Swash's fundamentals and Phil Kenyon's experience and expertise has established putting as a viable and necessary component of any serious golf instructors teaching skills. As the only structured instruction programme of its kind to PGA professionals worldwide it is leading the industry into new areas of growth and knowledge.

Putting by design is roughly anywhere from 40%-50% of any players golf score, and it's importance can not be under stated.
